Privacy Policy

This page is maintained by the Movr team to explain what personal data the app collects and how it is handled. It describes current practice in the product, not an independent audit or certification.

What we collect

• Account details: name, email, phone number and profile photo if you add one.
• Booking details: pickup and drop-off addresses, items, dates, notes and price.
• Driver location while a job is active, so customers can follow their move live.
• Proof of delivery: a photo and recipient signature captured at drop-off.
• Messages sent between customers and drivers about a booking.

How we use it

To price and fulfil your booking, match you with a driver, provide live tracking and updates, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and improve the service. We do not sell your data.

Who can see it

Your booking details are visible to you, the assigned driver, and Movr administrators. Drivers browsing open jobs see the job details needed to accept work. Proof-of-delivery files are stored privately and are only accessible through time-limited links.

Location data

Driver location is shared only while a job is in progress and stops when the job ends or the driver goes offline. Customers' locations are not tracked.

Retention

Booking records, invoices and proof of delivery are kept for six years to meet accounting and insurance requirements. Chat messages and live location points are kept for the life of the booking record. Delete your account and we remove personal profile data, keeping only what the law requires.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to certain processing. Contact us and we will respond within one month.

Security

Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit, row-level access rules so users can only reach their own records, and private storage for delivery evidence.
